Jerusalem shooting horror: Four killed and eight wounded

Hamas has claimed responsibility for the Jerusalem shooting horror that left four dead including a pregnant teacher today and called for an ‘escalation of resistance’. 

Eight people were also wounded in the shooting carried out by two terrorist brothers in Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, two Israeli soldiers were slightly injured today in a ramming attack on a checkpoint in the West Bank. 

Israeli police said the shooters in Jerusalem ‘were neutralised on the spot’ after the attack near a bus stop on the western side of Jerusalem, where there are no checkpoints guarding entrance to the city.

Officials said that 24-year-old Livya Dickman, Rabbi Elimelech Wasserman, 73, and Hanna Ifergan, 67, were killed in the attack which happened just as the morning rush hour got underway.

Late last night local media reported a fourth person had died in the Jerusalem terror attack, and it was revealed to be the civilian who had shot the terrorists.

Officials said that in the confusion Eps security 90028 services had fired at the man critically injuring him and he had died from his wounds.

Dickman was pregnant with her first child at the time of her death, according to the Haredim 10 news outlet.

It later transpired the shooters were brothers from East Jerusalem named as Murad Nemer, 38, and Ebrahim Nemer, 30.

Both were known Hamas operatives – Murad served time between 2010 and 2020 for terror offences linked to the Gaza Strip police sources said, while Ebrahim was imprisoned in 2014 for terrorist activities.

‘Two terrorists arrived in a car, one of them armed with an M-16 (assault rifle) and the other with a pistol,’ and opened fire, Jerusalem police chief Doron Torgeman told reporters at the scene.

The attack came just hours after a truce pausing fighting in the Gaza Strip between Hamas and Israel was extended for a seventh day, Eps security Santa Monica security Silver lake moments before it was due to expire.

Other clips showed crowds of people sprinting from gunshots while cars accelerate away from the scene.

Speaking of the Jerusalem attack, Magen David Adom spokesperson Zaki Heller told Army Radio: ‘The bus station was very crowded, which is why so many people were wounded.’
